What a magnificent book! The novel The Time-Traveling Fashionista by Bianca Turetsky is a 263 page master-piece. I really enjoyed the colorful picture’s every now and then, and the fact that it was a realistic fiction. The humor in the book is a nice relief even if the realistic part is sad and upsetting. This is a lovely book and I hope you decide to read it.
The Time-Traveling Fashionista is a novel about a girl (Louise) that is into vintage clothing. When Louise gets a letter to a vintage clothing sale she has to go. When she is there she finds the most beautiful powder-puff pink dress that is “to die for.” Of course she tries it on like any sane person would do. Then everything goes black, and when she wakes up she finds herself on the most famous ship known for one of the most tragic nights in the world. Yes, Louise ends up on the Titanic. How will she get off? Will she be able to help change the lives of some of the passengers on that ship that night?
I would recommend this book for many reasons. I would recommend this book to girls and not boys. I would also recommend this to someone who enjoys suspense, and has a “sweet tooth” for elegant clothing. I think it was a little frustrating that women didn’t have a lot of rights back then, because no one would listen when Louise would try to warn them. If you decide to read this book I hope you enjoy it as much as I did when I was reading it.
