I read the book Sean Rosen is Not For Sale by Jeff Baron. In this book is great partially because it showed us how kids are more than capable to do great things, and write great things. It is also great because the author makes flaws for the people, such as Sean, the main character, thinking he can make a movie all by himself. It is the best realistic fiction I have ever read.
The people in this book, such as Trish, the secretary, are examples of Sean Rosen’s friendliness. He makes friends, but people think he is wierd because of his addiction to making screenplays. He also is friends with some of the biggest producers of movies in Hollywood, and even meets one! Sean Rosen is Not For Sale is a book about love, hate, movies, and dogs that get electrocuted. It shows the hardships of being a kid, without a manager, that tries to sell his screenplay. It is a beautiful book, and I recommend it to all readers.
I liked this book because it shows how kids can be mad at the world for being kids, and not being an adult. Sean Rosen is a realistic character that I soon saw as a boy on his own, doing things like being his own manager, and other things that make him a perfect character. All readers would enjoy this book, and I am sure that the prequel is good to. (Its the second book in the series.)
Thanks for reading this books review, by Rowan Hennessy.
