Listening For Lucca by Suzanne LaFleur is a mix of many different genres that include fantasy, historical fiction, and mystery. The book also has a little bit of wisdom and the true meaning of caring. This is one of the best books that I have ever read, and I could read it over and over again without getting bored.
The main characters Siena, who is ten, and Lucca, who is three, are not the typical type. Siena has no friends and has crazy dreams about the past. On the other hand, Lucca used to talk all the time and now will not say a word. Siena and Lucca’s parents decide to move to Maine, that way Siena and Lucca could have a chance to start over again. Weird things started to happen in Maine, some of them were good things and some of them were bad things. What will happen next?
I really like Listening For Lucca because it is very mysterious, and suspenseful. Suzanne LaFleur really puts a lot of wisdom in her book, and a very good life lesson which is, you should always care for people who care for you. I also liked how Siena is very mysterious and likes history. Lastly, I really loved the ending, but it would give away the whole book if I told you. In conclusion, I think that this book is very, very book.
