Feathers by Jacqueline Woodson

I thought Feathers was a great book to read by Jacqueline Woodson. The main character known as the Jesus boy showed me that it was ok that you don't always have to fight back when someone is being mean to you.

The Jesus boy came into Frannie and Samanthia school in the middle of the school year. Everyone in the school thought it was weird how he came in just like that for no apparent reason. People in the school bullied the Jesus boy and made fun of him because he acts differently. Samanthia thinks the Jesus boy is actually Jesus himself. Frannie thinks Samanthia is crazy to think that.

In conclusion the author wrote the book in view of point of Frannie. I liked how the author wrote about Frannie's view of point because Frannie talks about what happened in the past that is happening with her in the present. I think people who enjoy fiction books that explain what the characters are doing with their lives like how the feel or how you can connect to the main characters. You can find this book in the middle school library.
