The Summer I Saved the World in 65 Days by Michele Weber Hurwitz

The Summer I Saved the World in 65 Days is a great book!  In my opinion, Michele Weber Hurwitz has an amazing writing style.  I love how sometimes she would write short sentences.  Those little sentences gave the book more pizzaz!

The Summer I Saved the World in 65 days is about a normal soon to be freshman named Nina Ross.  However, she has a plan to make a big difference in the world (or at least her neighborhood).  One day, Nina sees her neighbor, Mrs. Chung, having a hard time planting her marigolds.  This sparked Nina’s plan.  Nina decided that she would do one or more small, anonymous good deeds everyday in summer.  Many people doubt her, but she keeps doing these good things anyway.

In addition, Michele Weber Hurwitz must know a lot about teenagers and different personalities.  Every character in this book has a fun, different personality.  This book is so real and lively that it almost feels like Michele Weber Hurwitz lived this exact life as a kid.

In conclusion, The Summer I Saved the World in 65 Days is a great book that I would recommend to girls who like to read realistic fiction and are in middle school.  This book is a pretty quick read, but is still reasonably long.  Hopefully you will borrow or buy this book, as I recommend you read this book!
