Far From Normal is a strange book. The I thought it was very interesting and I always wanted to keep reading. The book is from charles’s perspective (the second oldest child).
The Harrisongs live an odd life, They used to live in Illinois. After they lived there they moved to Florida and lived on a houseboat.
The man Charlie makes friends with is his little brothers best friend’s father. The owner of a magazine. The magazine is called the Modern Times. Charlie got to right a story that was published. Charlies story was about there whole entire life counting the terrible trip to Bargain Bonanza because everything was cheap.
Charlie’s family got into a lawsuit with Bargain Bonanza. Bargain Bonanza claimed that sales have dropped because of Charlie’s story in the Modern Times. Then before the Harrisongs knew what was happening they were already being forced to do things they did not want to do. The Harrisongs were in ads, t.v. commercials, and even had their own movie. Some people wanted to be the Harrisongs but, they did not. This book is available in the MS library.
